Living Magazine's HOUSE OF THE YEAR 1997
Created in cooperation with Country
Living magazine, Yankee Barn Homes,
and architect Carol Wilson this showcase home was built on and
to highlight a nearly century-old post-and-beam frame. It was
inspired by the steep-roofed New England Capes of the 18th-century,
but meticulously finished and styled for comfortable 21st-century
living. The kitchen is finely appointed with custom millwork
cabinets based on Shaker designs, and the finished home is a
tribute to what can be accomplished through a collaborative
team approach.
